Write a letter to the future
FutureMe has delivered over 10 million letters to the future since 2002!
"I love this. I've sent myself 5 letters so far and every year it's a surprise. Because I forget so easily. It turns into such a deep reflective process, that I usually weep and laugh while I write."

I absolutely love @futureme, refreshing memories from last year and jotting down new stuff for myself to laugh at and cry with next year.

Check out @futureme. You. Will. Not. Regret it. In a year, 5 years or some other span of time, you will be amazed at what you think is important today.

Hi there! Writing a letter to the future can be a powerful experience. And receiving a surprise letter from the past can be an even more powerful experience. Check out the testimonials all of the people who agree!. Here are some hints for writing a future letter:
Details. What seems mundane will be interesting in the future. There are smart people who have proven this.
- To your next birthday (obviously!)
- To a date by which you predict we are "back to normal" and recovered from the Covid-19 pandemic. What did we learn?
- On the date you accomplish an important milestone (graduate / get married / retire!)
- To 5 years. Write a story in present tense ("You are sipping coffee in your new home...") and paint a picture of the day based on the life you've achieved.
- To yourself, when you will be your parents age (now we're getting deep)
- To your spouse/partner, on your 10th (20th? 50th?) anniversary (you must register first to write to someone else!)
- To your kids, when they will be your age. Or to the age when you think you will have kids.
- To yourself, while you're on your next vacation. Or, while on vacation, to yourself when you've back "to the grind."
- To the year 2030, when the IPCC says we must hit Greenhouse Gas Reduction goals to keep Global Warming below 1.5 degrees celsius.
- And many more... Do you have an idea? Share it with @futureme on Twitter!
