Dear Me,
I can't sum up your life right now. It's 3:46 on a Saturday night. You're home. So we're just gonna do a state of the person address.
You went out tonight and had drinks with friends at a new place up on Broadway. You met new people, including a lovely girl named Lyda. You're totally smitten with her right now. So here's the deal. You feel this way because she paid attention to you. But she probably paid attention to everyone because she's awesome like that.
So maybe she likes you, maybe not. Hard to tell, huh? Actually, if you're being honest with yourself, you don't think she likes you, but you try to convince yourself that she does. It's been a year since you've been with someone special and it's bothering you that you haven't connected with anyone since then.
Well, there's Dayna, but that's still up in the air. You should talk to her more. I hope this letter finds you having done that.
You're a book with a first chapter that isn't the most compelling read, but sets up the rest of the story so well. You just need someone who will get through chapter one because they won't be able to put down the rest of the story.
Damn, that's sappy. But fuck it, it's 3:52 AM now.
