Hey, you grown up. From your past self

Dear FutureMe, As you read this, you're probably sitting in your parents' fancy new house in Vegas. Are they happy? If not, tell them their PastDaughter says smile. I'm sure they're happy. Give them a hug for me. I hope you've had a good summer. You've graduated college and driven across the country. I hope it was all you thought it was going to be. Did you stand at the Grand Canyon all by yo...

Are You Married/Dating Yet?

Dear FutureMe, You're turning twenty-nine in five months. God, seven months just breezed by. Your birthday wasn't that memorable anyway. You didn't get anything for your birthday because after the holidays, no one has money. You just baked yourself a chocolate cake that didn't really look that good. It tasted okay though. But it's depressing. You baked your own birthday cake. How sad is tha...

Welcome back!

Dear FutureMe, it seems you forgot your PastMe. Doesn't matter, I don't know you, you don't remember me. We are prisoners in our small time jails. This is just a tunnel, between our cells.

A whole lot of nothing....

Dear FutureMe, Are you still loving the one you think you can't have? Why do you think he wouldn't like to go out with you? There's nothing wrong with you, other than your lack of self confidence when it comes to him. I am an addict. I attend Narcotics Anonymous meetings. This sometimes becomes an issue, not recently. 'One program, many fellowships' were words spoken that resounded in my heart. I thought I would g...

Hairy

Dear FutureMe, How long is your hair? Can you still sit on it if you tip your head back? Are you in debt? If the answer to either of those last two questions is 'yes' then get your hair cut and a wig duly sold. Present(longhaired)Me

Dear FutureMe, So what happened with you and Airy-Zone-A man who you met in cyberspace? Did you enjoy his visit on Labor Day 2006? Was there a spark? Is he still a part of your life? Are you living on your own now, like you wanted? Have you been dating a lot, or have you found someone special? Have you found a new and positive niche for yourself in the job world, or are you still in the ...

Read this, Holly

I hope you're happy. I hope you're healthy. Right now you're so self-destructive; you need to stop drinking, stop the drugs and make yourself better. I hope you've let all these people help you. I hope you have more direction than you do right now. I have so many hopes for you that I can't even get them all written down. I hope you love yourself.

hello from the past

Dear FutureMe, Does my message greet you like a stranger? Or are you instantly consumed by waves of nostalgia. I hope by now that you have found your true destiny, and accomplished that long-term quest of establishing your identity, whether it required searching, or constructing something anew.
