Dear FutureMe,
So your birthday is coming up. DO NOT PLAN ANYTHING FORMAL for your birthday, because you know your friends are flaky as hell. Just invite the inner-inner circle, presumably Andre, Ryan and Amy. That's it. Don't do this again. Don't go "this time I'll have the perfect party and everyone will come and I'll feel like that cool girl in the 90s with lots of friends and a perfect life" fuck that.
Just jump on the bandwagon of an event that is close enough to the date of your birthday and subtly suggest that people buy you presents. Post your gift wishlist now. Maybe even go somewhere else for your birthday so there's no possible way of disappointing yourself? Just don't do the same thing you do every year when all of your friends say they can't go 10 minutes before the event and you're sitting somewhere on your own like a loser. Or! Find better friends! You never let them down ever! Literally!
Sorry, I'm feeling kind of bitter right now. Love you. Stay safe, look after yourself. I hope you're happier and healthier than I am.
C.
