A letter from December 30th, 2015

Peaceful right?

Happy birthday, Marcus!! So, you're now 45 years old. This is Marcus as well, when you were "only" 35. It's December 30th, 2015, 1:10pm and I'm at work. Hopefully you are doing a lot better than I'm doing now. Not that I'm doing any bad, actually. I have a good life, I just want it to be even better. Looking at what happened since 2005 (we were only 25!), when I was working on the Amaggi project, living in Campinas and not making much money, everything is so much better now. Regarding my family, Oliver is almost 18 months old. He's walking all around the house, but falls every now and then. He fell yesterday and hit his nose. It's a little bit red, but he's fine. He still doesn't talk (he says dadee, mamamama and gui every now and then, but not when we ask him to do it). Today is gonna be his first time with a speech therapist. Erika is still the love of my life. We don't fight often and I can really say she is my accomplice in life. Sometimes we talk about having another kid, but who knows? We suffered so much already and we just don't want to go through the same things we went with Oliver. Well, time will tell (and I'm sure you know the answer regarding what happened). Rob just showed me a video of a friend of him riding with his kids. I wanna do it with Oliver, hopefully starting by the end of 2016. I want Oliver to be everything I never was. Hopefully he is gonna be a rider 100x better than myself. Gizmo still acts like a puppy. He just turned 7 and still has the same energy as when he was just 1 year old. Hopefully he's still alive, but healthy. The last thing I want is for him to live a miserable end of life. Mom is doing great. She married this year and travels back and forth between Guaxupe and Caraguatatuba with Norberto. She still has one more surgery, but the cancer is gone. Hopefully you won't have any bad news by the time you get this email. I'm still working for the same company you worked for when you moved to the US, almost 8 years now. Rob's still my boss and Larry is still tormenting everybody around him. I'm currently developing ATAS (the Clerk's side, CCAO is already live). TAS is running in 31 counties in Kansas, TCDS is running in 3 counties in Colorado and ATAS is running in only 2 counties in Illinois. I'm making $102,500 a year right now. Regarding miscellaneous stuff (just for you go get situated on what it's passing through my mind right now), this year I got a platinum trophy in Metal Gear Solid 5 and The Witcher 3. I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 with 16GB of storage (it's the company's phone, but whatever). I just bought Cards Against Humanity and hopefully will find some "awful" people to play with soon! I'm still collecting Eaglemoss figurines and by the time you get this email, hopefully my collection will be complete! I'm getting ready to buy the anniversary edition of War of the Ring. Hopefully I bought it, because it looks beautiful! I'm still waiting for my Eldritch Horror dice from that Kickstarter project. I have a PS4 and a Xbox One, but I almost never turn the Xbox One on. Kinda sad, when compared on how much I loved the X360. I still love my Camaro, even after 4 years! Sometimes I think about getting another car (maybe a Challenger?) but for now, I'm keeping the Camaro. I'm weighting 90 kilos, which isn't good at all!! My objective for the next 10 years is to not get fatter than I currently am. 80-85 should be my objective. Well, I think that's it for now. Hopefully I'll forget about everything I just wrote so it will be a huge surprise to you in 10 years.
