A letter from December 17th, 2015

Dear FutureMe, Today, you are fourty years old. Happy birthday! I'm writing you as a fresh 30 year old woman who's been proposed to and who has a head full of dreams... I'm not as innocent as when I was 20 but I still believe in magic. First, let me tell you that I wish from all my heart that you are healthy. I also wish that your Mom is still here. She's 78 now. I really hope that you used the last 10 years to tell her and show her how much you love her and how much you'll miss her after she's gone. I hope that P. and you are happily married and have at least 2 beautiful children. D. , the big brother is 16 now :) Big boy. You know I always thaught that your first child would be born in 2018 so he must be 7 now. Dear future me, How I hope that you realized your dream, that you tour around the world, that your music is known by a very large amount of people, that you are successful in what you do and that you are happy. How I hope that for you. You deserve it. By that time, you'll be married for 8 years. Tell me how did you find the money to finance that wedding? Now that it's long behind, you must be laughing about it... Girl, no matter what you're doing now, please know that your past self is proud of you.
