A letter from December 12th, 2013

Dear FutureMe, A friend just asked on FaceBook, "If you could tell your 17 year old self something, what would it be?" I replied, "Things get better.. But you've got to stay strong. I'm proud of who you are and who you become!" At 17 you was going through so much, but you never gave up. I just wanted to say, I am very proud of who you were, who you are, and who you will be. I am proud of what you've accomplished. I'm proud that you have a great marriage, a beautiful baby on the way, and that you will be graduating in a year. I am proud that despite all the obstacles you have faced that you prevailed and that you will continue to prevail. I just think you are an awesome person, and I am so proud of who we are! When things get tough, FutureMe, remember all the obstacles you have already overcome. I love you! Shelby loves you! Your family loves you! And most importantly, God loves you!
