Dear FutureMe,
Let’s Live Day by Day
It’s hard to believe that this life, this world and everything in it, is nothing compared to the hereafter. It’s the only conscious reality that we experience so far. The past, the present, and the rest of our life, all of it is merely a prologue to something incomparably bigger.
All of our happiness, all of them exist on borrowed time.
Every sorrow, heartbreak, how seemingly unbearable, how seemingly endless, are actually temporary.
The people around us, the time we spend together with them, the love we feel for and from them, and for every separation that follows.
Things we pray for and are granted, and things we pray for but are not granted. None of them truly belong to us.
This world is not our home, so it’s okay if it does not feel homey. Even the sun will die down someday.
So, let’s live decade by decade, year by year, month by month, or even day by day for it is what The Most Merciful has written for us. Sufficient is Allah for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs.
“Indeed, what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by (93:4)”
