A letter from Jan 14, 2025

Dear FutureMe, I always dreamed of being you. One step ahead. Better off than before. I envied you. I also feared you. I craved being you. But no more. This is the first time in my life I have consistently (for many months) wanted to be exactly where I am now. Yes, I have goals and desires. But, just like in my favorite movie, the most fun part is right in the middle. The only strong preference I have right now is that you can look back at me and all of my older version and appreciate the entire history. That you can say from the heart: "That was one of the best movies I've ever seen. It's simply brilliant..." Dear Future Me, I hope you have a gaze full of amazement, content and joy when you think of me, your Past Self.
