Dear Future Me,
Today is December 29 2024, and I’ve decided not to wait until New Year to start. The hardest thing to do is to start, and that’s exactly why I’m beginning now. This letter is a reminder of everything I’m working on and everything I hope we’ve achieved in the next six months.
Here’s where I’m at: I feel good—better than last year. But I know I can be better. My goals are clear, and I’m determined to make progress.
Fitness and Health
- I want to be consistent with running and improve my stamina.
- I’m watching what I eat and aiming for a better, stronger body. I should see abs in 6–7 months!
- Basketball is a big focus—I’m working on dribbling, shooting, and overall skills.
- Calisthenics is also important. I want a stronger back and better physical control.
- I’m taking better care of myself: my skin, hair, and hygiene. I’m brushing my teeth daily and drinking plenty of water.
Personal Development
- I’m working on becoming more confident. I want to speak more freely, say what’s on my mind, and stop being afraid of talking to people.
- I’m being kinder to my siblings, making sure they feel loved, and becoming a better person overall.
- My room is going to stay organized, and I’ll keep my clothes neat.
Coding and Learning
- I’m diving deeper into JavaScript while mastering the basics of HTML and front-end development.
- After that, I plan to explore ReactJS, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. Slow and steady, I’ll keep evolving.
Spirituality
- I want to get closer to God by reading my Bible more. This isn’t just a goal; it’s a journey of faith.
Reading and Knowledge
- I’m increasing my daily reading goal from 10 to 15 pages. I’ll start tomorrow because waiting until January 1 feels like a delay.
Financial Discipline
- Managing money better is a priority. I’m cutting down on impulsive spending and saving wisely.
This letter is a promise to myself—a reminder that I’ve started and that I can keep going. I’ll send another letter to myself in a year to compare.
Future me, if you’ve achieved these goals, I’m proud of you. If you haven’t, don’t be discouraged. Keep pushing, because progress takes time.
Thank you for sticking with it and for believing in us. You’ve always been stronger than you realize.
Take care of yourself, and don’t forget to appreciate the journey.
Sincerely,
Me
