A letter from Dec 28, 2024

Peaceful right?

Dear Future Pratiksha, You might wonder why I decided to write this letter, but I just felt the urge to. You once told me you appreciate effort, and I don't know why, but I feel a natural instinct to put in effort for you. I’m writing this just to see you smile. While I might not be able to make you smile right now, I hope that within six months, I will have created many happy memories with you. Imagine if something happened to me before you received this letter—like an accident or earthquake! Just kidding. Regardless, Pratiksha, I’ve never felt this close to anyone before. This feeling is different, and I want to explore it and see where it leads us. I always trust my instincts, and right now, they are telling me to be with you and make you happy. I’m still figuring out how to do that, but I’m committed to trying. It's Saturday today, and tomorrow is your chemistry exam (you’d correct me on the spelling of “tomorrow,” Miss Grammar Nazi). Making an effort for you feels completely natural to me. Talking to you is the best part of my day. Even our small, slow chats make me feel good. You mentioned that you change a lot, almost every month. In six months, I’ll get to see six different versions of you, and I want to be there for all of them. Let me know if I change too during this time. I have a presentation tomorrow, so good luck to both of us. When you get this letter, promise me you’ll smile, okay? I plan to write to you daily, so you'll keep getting letters. I promise to be there for all your future birthdays. For today, this is it. I am so happy I met you, and I’ll always be glad about that. This might sound like an exaggeration, but I’m being real. I want to know more about you and share more about myself too.Today, I learned that you have bees in your house. You work hard and often say you’re brainrotted, but I have yet to see that side of you. I’m going to sleep now, and you’re probably studying for chemistry. Look forward to my letters, Future Pratiksha.
