Dear FutureMe,
First semester of senior year just ended. It kinda sucked. I quit the cheer team and band has been rough. There’s been good moments, like finally winning first place at a band competition, but it’s still been hard. I feel like I’m stuck in life and I’ll never move forward past this low point. I just had a really bad seizure and hurt my head, mom and dad are being insane, I’m deciding what I want to do with my future, I’m planning college, and planning on moving out soon. I have a lot on my plate and it’s really stressful. I feel like at any moment I’m gonna crumble and start crying and not be able to stop. I know that I have to keep going tho. We will get there. I’m gonna be a part of the MSU Band. I’m gonna live happily on campus. I’m gonna move out and be independent. I’m gonna get my health together and live healthily. I’m gonna get a good job and have money. I’m gonna have so much happiness and so many blessings! Keep your head up. If you think “this can’t get any worse” it probably can but it also could always get better and it always does. Fight for the good parts of life. Fight for the little things you enjoy, the moments you look forward to, the memories that make you happy, and anything that keeps you going on the tough days. We’re cool and strong and very pretty and we got this. You are also an amazing musician. No matter what you may think. If life gets you down just have some birria tacos or a DLT and Baja Blast from Taco Bell and life will be a little bit better. You are smart, strong, important, and amazing. You deserve all the good things in life and eventually you will achieve greatness and happiness, just keep trying.
Take care of yourself and the ones you love
Sincerely,
17 year old Jasmine
