Dear FutureMe, I am sooo proud of you. You will start alaika in about a month and a half. I hope you love it and if you don’t, I hope you use the title to your advantage nonetheless. Today you had an incredible birthday party. So many people came…from your german friends to your international friend group to the people you met this year in your master program (and so many mutuals in-between) I hope you realize how loved you are. I am sitting here writing this and I truly can’t believe the amount of loved ones I have here living in the same city as me. I hope that this time next year, you are continuing to flow, you are married to the man of your dreams, and you have begun your thesis. I hope you’ve found ways to tame your anxiety and that you are being gentle with yourself. I hope you are happy, P, because life is too ******* short not to be. I love you, future me. I love you so much. I know already that you are so wise and you’ve learned so much in the time since i’ve written this letter. Peace and love 💕
