Dear FutureMe,
Hi, this is a lot harder than I thought it would be. I’m sending this to reach you in a year. We’ll be 18!!( even though I’ll turn 18 in November and not necessarily in a year’s time)
So how is the future? Right now I’m sat in private study outside on my own reading The bell jar and watching the lower heats do P.E. What do we think of the book? Does it have a good ending? I’m also currently obsessing over Heathers the musical. We haven’t got many friends rn. Low-key a bit of a loser…
What uni have we decided on then? Mum wants us to go to Kings college but entry requirements are quite high and I’m struggling with life as a whole on top of studying too. I’m even thinking about repeating year 12 since this “sixth form” experience has been so ****. I wonder if we follow through with that. And if we don’t how were exams?
I don’t really know what else to write I thought I’d have more to say. I hope things are better for us in a year’s time.
I’m also thinking about starting a small business on Etsy selling beaded bracelets. They’re really fun to make and thought I could make money. Does that work out?
How are things with family? Thank God I’m not sat under an open window. Whilst I’m writing this some kid keeps chucking sweet wrappers out the windows and i have no idea if it’s a personal attack or if he’s just a little ****. Anyway, do things finally work out for us? I’m so tired of having the “survive until the end of the week” mentality. You out of anyone would know what that’s like. I feel like I don’t really click with anyone at this school. Do we ever over come that? Or just that feeling in general, feeling like I don’t relate with anyone on a deeper level. Do we find someone that’s on the same wavelength as us?
So yeah. Definitely not living the dream. I almost signed this email off with “lmk how things are” as if you could respond to this. But I guess in a way you are responding whilst reading.
I should probably write something inspiring at the end in case things are even worse because it does in fact keep getting worse. Remember that I’ve always got you and you have always got me. We’ve got each other always. And be nicer to mum, she only wants what’s best for you!
Bye! Look after yourself :)
Sincerely, you.
