A letter from Jun 08, 2024

Dear FutureMe, This is being written around a week after your 20th birthday! You had fun at the zoo for the first time, and our younger self was definitely healed with it :) In between the last letter and present you have made some big choices! Dropping out of uni was predictable since you are not one to pursue skewed odds, but your tattoos are coming together beautifully! We are at the back, chest, collarbone, upper arms and tiny script pieces so far - due to a lack of funds and artistic muses. When you recieve this maybe you will be inked up with some more cool stuff! Right now you are also trying to move out so I hope that's sorted by then, and I do wish for you to begin your driving journey (please). Family wise there is still no contact, but I think you know that is for the best by now. You understand that they hurt you in the past and put too much into healing from that to forsake it, so be at peace with the scarcity of blood kin. S is still family of course, she has still unknowingly been there through everything so thank her. You have gotten closer to E who is honestly so selfless and amazing so make sure you show your appreciation too! There may be some issues with K, but I hope both of you realise life is too short to wander from each other. Overall you have matured so much emotionally, you have shed your hard exterior almost entirely and now welcome people with good intentions a lot better. You understand the meaning in just living without anything extraordinary having to occur. You are a timy bit more sensitive, but you have come a long way to connect with your heart and understand the validity of vulnerability. Mum is doing okay, she does seem to be doing a little better with her MS, but mentally still unstable. I know you are trying your best to handle everything with her on your own, just do not let it drag you to far deep. A lot of her choices are still rational and her own. In terms of your love life, definitely an improvement from last year. The guy you had very little faith in turned out to be the only man on earth you love with this passion, there is truly no replacing him so be calm and patient. You have briefly spoken about legally comitting to each other after next year, I wish you nothing but the best with this, you deserve to love and be loved. A is still healing as you have done, but remember not to lower your standards or allow the past to reincarnate. I hope you are both still together and I hope no one gets in-between that. I hope you understand that irregardless of whoever is still around you, you still have me, yourself. You are so intelligent and resilient and I hope you understand that you can do anything you want to do now, there is no one on your neck to restrict your interests anymore. You are truly free so make the most of it. I love you forever and always ♡
