Dear FutureMe, It is Right now, 7 June 2024 And yesterday was the graduation of the class of 2024. It was so heartwarming to see, but most importantly it reminded me of you. You and I are the same gene wise, however in the difference of 365 days we have also grown so different. The DC internship work experience, applying for college and going through that whole traumatizing experience, hopefully celebrating Grandma Gloria‘s 100th birthday and with God recovering fully has shifted to totally different places mentally and epigenetically. I hope you applied to rise a second time though cause it was s o frustrating when I was disqualified. this day is your day bruh IS IS THAT DAHY Tlike SEVE FUTRICK and SENI say. When you are reading this know that this graduation is much more than your education . Remember when you’re celebrating and a lot of people even your parents who have been through it with you would not know what it took to get here. I am writing into your future. God is writing into your future. That way you are is a place where you are trusting God, but also knowing that you are not carried by anyone around you but you’re covered by them . hopefully you are going to college I. have a feeling that it’s going to be Princeton, yale or maybe Georgetown but whatever school you’re going to remember that you are anointed with a light and are going to thrive anywhere you are Hopefully you’re going to a trip to China or to climb Mount Kilimanjaro as your 18th birthday celebration in a few weeks but this is such an important part of your life. It might feel like a movie regardless of what’s going on. I just want to let you know that I am so so proud of you and make the most of whatever you are . be mature, intentional but happy . find peace in God, I’m so so proud of you and even though you were not in Green Springs for your entire life like some of your classmates, regardless of the fact that you might not even keep any relationships here there’s so much you have learned so treasure that . show the world just what you are made of in the next few weeks you can start applying for all those climate related conferences and competitions that require you to be above 18 hopefully we have found a way to make preserve our sustainable and created our park . Do not forget about filmmaking and dance and sports and reading, all the things that are outlets for you . There is so many things I could talk about right now so many things that have probably changed between your time and mine. It’s crazy what can happen in 365 days . right now we have gene babies and a national economic crisis and wars, climate change and everything related to social media and mental health and, Netflix and movies and trends and everyone is just confused.
