Peaceful right?

Dear future Alli, I am writing this essay on May 15, 2024 in my AP English Language class. I just took the AP Language exam yesterday, and I predict a 4 (if I fail I will cry). Hopefully this class will be a breeze for the rest of the school year. We are writing college essays, which I am super excited about! I’m not sure what I want to write about yet, but I know I’m already ready to graduate (which you’re doing today) and move onto college. My classes are pretty stressful right now, but I know I’ll get through it. I finished my AP Environmental Science test, which I predict a 5 (just kidding, I probably failed) and my AP art portfolio, of which I predict a 2 at best! My boyfriend Zach and I just had our 1 year and 2 month anniversary, and things are going pretty well. I don’t see him as much as I would like, but I blame that on us both being busy with baseball, AP tests, and track. I just got a job coaching summer track yesterday! I am really excited to get paid coaching kids that I love. This weekend, Aunt Heather is coming home to watch Reese dance and see me compete, and I’m super excited. I miss her so much when she isn't here. Speaking of Heather, where did you end up choosing for your senior trip with her? Here are some places I’m thinking about (since she said she would take me anywhere): Thailand, Vietnam, Iceland, New Zealand, or the Philippines. I hope you chose somewhere good or I’ll be really sad. I have many goals for my future, but the biggest one includes going to college. I really hope you chose to attend a college out of state, particularly because there are so many things to experience that you can’t see in Maine. Right now I want to go into an Environmental Studies field, focusing on the policy, socioeconomic, and sustainability aspect, which is why a BA would better suit my interests. Right now I am looking at colleges around Boston, my favorite city, and in Rochester NY with Annelise. I hope that you continue with your art and your interest in helping people, and I hope that you use your empathy to love and cherish the people around you. I also just really hope that whatever you end up doing, that you love it. If you aren’t happy with something or someone, I hope that you make the best decision for yourself and no one else. Congrats on your graduation! I hope that it is everything you hoped it would be! I have always looked forward to this day. I know how excited I am for you to move on to college and explore everything you wanted to experience. I’m starting to love it here in Maine, and I’ll be sad when I leave my friends and family, but there is a world to experience and I wish you the best of luck doing so. You’re probably sad at leaving your friends and family behind, but just know how proud they and I are of you. I wish you the best of luck with all your future endeavors, and I know that you will be amazing. Good luck! Past Alli
