A letter from Apr 03, 2024

Dear 17 Year Old Me, How are things? Hope you haven't been left back due to your bad grades and stuff haha. I hope you stop sleeping so late and doing dumb **** while your up and focus on your studies, being the class clown is fun but having a bad paying job for the rest of your life isn't. I hope you are not focusing on finding a love interest as that is a bad distraction from what you are currently doing which is finishing your O-Levels and IGCSE. I hope you haven't done any dumb stuff that broke your friendship with people like K. Teh, Z. Goh, A. Chan, WX, J. Lee, J. Lim, R. Ang, A. Dinesh as those are your most important friends and I appreciate them a lot. I hope you still have a passion for guitar and drums and is already serving in church praise and worship, hopefully you have learnt how to save your money as I still have problem with that currently lol. Hopefully grandma is still around to see you graduate from high school! If she is, say hello to her for me. I hope you have found a purpose in life and what you want to study for college. Speaking of which how are the plans to study in the U.S? I'm very excited to go to the U.S for college but I don't know what you will think about after a year haha. I hope you lost some weight and actually focused on your health so that you can live to see your kids grow up. I hope your online friends are still in good relations with you as you don't have a lot of those friends that are really good friends with you without actually meeting you once. Being 17 years old means that you can actually go and finally study and examine for a drivers license, something you have been thinking about since you were 12. Hopefully you'll get a fun first car from Dad and Mom when you get a drivers license. I know I said I hope you are not focusing on finding a love interest but at the same time, I hope you do find one as it will be harder to look for one with higher demands later on, I hope you find someone that loves you for you, not your money, not your looks(despite looking like a dude who just escaped from a factory in China), someone that loves you because you are you and a person that they are willing to spend the rest of their lives with. I hope you have gotten a better grip of yourself and gotten a better understanding about God. I love God and I know God loves me, but I don't fully understand who God is and I hope I can get closer with him a year later. I hope you quit your bad habits and picked up on better habits! That's all from 16 year old you haha. And if you are feeling down when you are reading this cause time has passed, don't be! As time passes on for all of us and there's nothing we can do to stop it, so might as well embrace it and smile! I just hope you are happy and healthy. Much Love, 16 year old you
