Hugh:
All people posting public letters on this site ask themselves if theyve followed their resolutionsif theyve exercised, stuck to their diets, whatever they still hadnt done when they wrote the letter. Alternately, they incessantly ask questions that cant possibly be answered.
As of April 11th, 2006, my life is pretty good. Im not organized enough, and I dont budget my time properly. I probably wont in 2007 either, but theres always some hope. As of this instant, Im putting off a Graph Theory assignment due 16 hours ago, and hoping I can also finish a Database Systems project and still study some for Organic Chemistry.
I love Nicky, dearly and desperately. I agonize over the thought that we really wont work outIve known it from the beginning, and I hope to hell it all goes as well as it might seem to. If it doesnt, Id like to remind you how wonderful she was, and how good she was for you. No matter what, it was worth it. I hope (and feel confident) that you loved her as much and that no matter what, you were also good for her.
You dont have to be getting a second degree, you dont have to be getting a graduate degree. I hope you will, but its really a childhood fantasy that only might have real use. If youre as stressed this morning as I am a year ago, take your mind off it a little and think about how good your life has been, and all of whats ahead of you. Actually, go ahead and do that anyway.
Read a book this week. Kiss someone who deserves it. Call your family: they probably still dont hear enough from you. Mostly, just relax. Its going well, no matter how bad it looks.
