Dear FutureMe,
I trust this finds you well.
I’m writing this on a Monday, 10th April 2023. I hope you have been able to secure the scholarship you have always wanted, worked in the United Nations and possibly have grown so well in the UN’s system.
I’m guessing you have done you ACCA exams too.
I hope you’re happier with your life now. How’s your mum now? I trust she’s fine. How are your siblings? I believe they are almost done or done with school. Continue to treat them well. What’s up with your Dad? I hope he’s okay.
Just a quick reminder, whether you were able to achieve those dreams of being in the UN, having scholarships or finishing your ACCA or not, don’t be sad because the Glory I know would have tried her best pull this through and I am proud of where you are now.
And yea, how’s your relationship with God now? Better right? Always remember God loves you. He cares for you regardless of the situation, God knows why it’s happening that way.
I don’t want to assume a picture perfect future, I’m sure wherever you are now would come with its own challenges but I’m also sure that you would overcome them. Nothing good comes easy.
Do me a favor, I remember you love roasted corn. Can you get any roasted corn now? If you can, kindly go get it and eat. That’s a little gift from your past self to your future self. If you can’t, get something now to celebrate yourself. I know you would be great. Thank you for all the hardwork and the sacrifices.
Be happy, healthy and kind.
Cheers.
Past Glory.
