You Could Die

Dear FutureMe, It's very strange but your male cousin sent you a text message describing his dream about you. He told you that he dreamt that you died in a car accident. What's strange is that you've been thinking about what it would feel like to be hit by a truck. It's not that you're morbid. It's just that you have a healthy imagination. Okay. You're morbid. Sometimes. You try to brush it off. You say to yourself that you're too young to die. You're twenty-eight and you still haven't found Mr. Right. It's always been your childhood dream to travel and to raise a family. You think about the kids that you're never going to have. Or the bedtime stories that you're never going to read to your future kids. It fills you with so much sadness. But you're still optimistic about it all. There's no way you could possibly die. Okay, there's a possibility that you could die. You're scared because you feel that you might be dying. Or maybe you're just being paranoid. You've been getting pelvic pains for the last ten months. It hasn't stopped. YOu've been to a doctor but still, the pain hasn't gone away. You've been thinking about your own mortality frequently. You're not really scared. More like you're sad. You want to fall in love. You want to marry. You want to have kids. You want to bake them cakes and pastries. You want to cuddle your little ones in your arms. This can't possibly be the end. You can't possibly die young. On a lighter note. If you do get this message next year, it means that you're alive. You're still upbeat about living. Life may not have been really good to you but you're optimistic. I'm curious to know if you've found the ONE. Or if you already have a great job that actually pays. Or if you're living abroad with a bunch of people who you barely know. How's your conversational English? I know you're a little shy about speaking in English although it's your second language. What's your boss like? How's your first snow? Are you in love??? Are you happy? Do take care now. Please don't die .
