Hey, Bud.
This has been coming up in the news and in conversation around the office. People are questioning the point of marriage.
- Does marriage change the nature of a relationship?
- Why do so many common law relationships lasting many years break down so quickly after getting married?
- Celebrities are declaring that they will never get married. There's no point.
You've got friends who have divorced after a couple years with a kid.
You have friends who have divorced after a dozen years with kids.
You have friends who tell you every day that their dozen year marriage is coming to an end. (They must love to hate each other).
You have friends who have barely broken the 12 year mark and it has never been rockier.
You have friends that you're surprised made it past 8 years... but not to the 9th. I wonder what's happened to M? The circumstances of them being together were all against him to begin with. There's no word on where he's gone or what he's up to.
You have a friend in limbo after 10 years. The separation is still fresh.
You and your beautiful wife, on the other hand, have never been stronger or better.
Cheers to you two!
