A letter from Aug 10, 2022

Hey girl, it’s 14 year old you, It's august 10 2022 right now Can you imagine you’re about to be 18 in 3 months? Yeah you heard that right, you’re boutta be legal in a few months lol, and also you’re about to graduate high school!!! Like that’s a big thing girl, you should be proud of yourself. How do you feel about leaving highschool? Who are you gonna miss the most? cause now your fututre depends on you and only you, no pressure tho just saying lol. Did you get into Florida State? Stanford? Worcester State? What college are you going into? How’s life? Have you gotten your driver’s license yet? Do you have your first car yet? Are you still friends with Ateh, Gloria, Sofia, Kyara, Nana, Jisaiah? What are you doing now? Are you working? Are you an actress yet? Are you a model yet? Are you happy? Did you audition for that disney show you’ve always wanted but coundn’t because mom said you needed to focus on school first and that you were too young ? Have you met any celebrities yet? Especially: Jack Harlow, Keith Powers, Marsai Martin, Ryan Destiny ect.. Now girl don’t get me wrong I know being an adult (well not necessarily an adult yet but) can be hard but i know you, you’re strong, you’re smart, and you’re capable of anything because you’re a child of God. Have you met any new people that you instantly click with? Cause girl these are the ones you keep, they are the ones that eventually becomes your day one(s). Lol I know I’m asking a lot of questions but that’s because I want to know if you are living the dream life you’ve always wanted to live yk? How’s the situation with your dad going? Have you seen him since April 1 2022? Has he tell you that he’s sorry for all the things he’ve put you through? If not then darling forgive him yourself and move on. And also regarding that situation; if you guys have not made up or anything here’s what I want you to do ( I can’t do this now because i’m young and i’m scared but you’re braver and older now so ) I want you to find out where he lives and mail a letter to him talking about how you don’t hold any grudges towards him and you forgive him, and yes girl i know that it’s scary but for your own good please let that man know that you made it without him, you graduated without him, you had your first car without him ect.. I’m not gonna get too detailed because this letter’s gonna be public and everyone might read it but you get the point. Also I know you’ve always wanted a best friend (a boy best friend to be exact) how’s that going? have you find him yet? If no, that’s totally fine, when the time is right the Lord will make it happen; but if you do have one please let him read this part: Hey, you probably don’t know all the things I’ve been through to be where I am today but man they’re alot, I got 99 problems but you ain’t one because when i’m around you, you make me forget about anything else. Thank you for everything. I love you deeply bestie 🫶🏾! Chrislie, 14 year old you is proud of you! You’re everything she wanted to be when she was 14 but couldn’t because she did not have the freedom you have right now! You only live once and you miss all the chances you don’t take, so that means go on that vacation, aplly for that scholarship, audition for that show, talk to that person, buy that car, buy that house, be kind, be happy, and be yourself, give all you have to God.
