Islam and you

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, Do you still want to change your religion to fit you? At the rate your at now, you're going to burn in hell. So, your just 14 and you've done stuff your not supposed to, according to you religion. Kiss boys, sneak around your parents and date them, lie to them over and over, wear stuff your not supposed to, did I mention lie? And you can't forget manipulate, dislike, loathe, talk about, shall I go on? Don't you think you deserve at least a few hundred years in hell for that? If you believed in hell... who knows, maybe there is a hell. Maybe there is a heaven. I know one thing: I don't want to find out any time soon because I want a long lived life. Well, but to the religion thing. Like most of the things you can't control (parents, globabl warming, hunger, poverty, etc.) you couldn't possibly control the religion you were born into, right? So, you were raised in America around the whole culture so you know no other culture so, hmmm... I wonder if you're going to follw Christianity or Islam? You go to a high school filled with black people with sex, drugs, alcohol, profanity etc. all around you, around ever corner, where teachers actually tease about that stuff. What are you going to do? Practice absitinence? Do no drugs? Alcohol? Your normal. Of course you're going to give into those things. Though I hope you don't become addicted to any of those things! You better not screw your life up with those things. Well, anyways, I'll continue on with this discussion. So, you're at a Muslim convention thing. You're the only teenage girl there in black dress pants, a brown turtleneck, and high heels. You feel like an alien around the older women. You don't give a damn what they think. You're outside, thinking, wanting to go home, and wanting a cell phone to text your friends (you got a cell phone now, though). You don't listen to what the religious people say, what are Muslim preacher or reverends called? Well, you do listen, but secretly, your doubting them, etc. You're going to be legal on June 21, 2009. Right now, it's January 28, 2006. It really doesn't seem so far away. And you're senior year isn't far from now. What are you going to do, Salma? Live life to the fullest, of course! Girl, right now, you're being held back by your parents and their religion. But, then you think, do guys really matter to you? Well, not right now because you're wanting to become valedictorian and get your little ass smarter. Okay. Bad example. College. Yes, good ole' college. You'll be 1,000 miles away from your parents at the least, living by yourself at a diverse college where you'll have a full scholarship to. Guys will be all over you because you're beautiful, exotic, and though you're not all that sexy (how can you be, your 4 foot 11 and have the body of a 12 year old) and what are you going to do? Have a boyfriend. Get married to some body out of your religion. Become a surgeon, and live happily ever after. Most likely, you will be disowned by your parents, or is it the other way round. If not, then, YAY! They accept you for you. So, well, anyways, think about this a while, okay. And have a great life, love yourself, and you know all the other stuff. PS: Don't do anything stupid. Mistakes are okay because you learn from them but stupid mistakes are just stupid. Stay cool. Love, Salma Oh, and girl, you better be valedictorian or when you read this, whip your own ass. LOL
