Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, It’s me, 16 nearly 17. There’s so much I want to ask you. But first of all I hope you’re happy, living for yourself and no one else. I’m sorry you couldn’t have the teenage years you wanted and I hope you live out your 20’s like no other, you deserve it, you didn’t do anything wrong. I hope you’re comfortable with being yourself now, not changing yourself to fit in with others and most importantly, I hope you don’t think about everything you eat. I hope you’ve overcome your fear of food, I hope you can eat cheese now and enjoy impromptu meals, because you’re beautiful, you were beautiful too. I hope you’re still friends with Jasmine, she’s the first person who i can be me around, quietly lie on her shoulder, not talk. She’s the one thing I don’t want to loose so I hope you spend her are as close as ever. I also hope you’re doing Medicine, KCL is a stretch but I’d be more than happy if you’re sat in London doing medicine. I’m glad you grew up well, although we never got to be a child for very long, let’s make the most of our lives. I hope you and Mema are as close as ever. By the time you read this, she’d be as old as I am now. I hope she doesn’t get affected by how she’s treated at home and stays the ball of energy she is. Right now, I’m meant to be revising for your yr 12 mocks but my motivation levels are down in the dump so it’s impossible for me to get work done, hopefully everything will be okay in the future. I really wish you find your person now, a soulmate. After spending years of relying on yourself, wiping your own tears and picking yourself up, you deserve someone kind and patient, someone who you can rely on and someone who can give you lots of love. It’s scary to think that by the time you’d read this you’d be an adult, doing adult things with adult money and adult friends. Things can only get better from here.
