A letter from May 26th, 2022

Dear FutureMe, I would love for you to be happy. Someone who is genuinely of service to others and respects herself. Still funny ;) Or maybe you never were. I wish that you can see that you matter. That the script in your head is not always right. I hope that you have been places like Japan, Italy and DisneyWorld with Michael-- Kids?!? Who knows. A stable career is what you crave. Teaching has always been your passion , but a job and a person need to be separate. It is not all about work. If making money is the biggest concern, then life will pass you by. I hope everyone is happy and healthy. Mom, Dad, Tony, Anina, Anna and Toby -- do you have any nieces or nephews yet??? Is Nana and Popa ok????? Did they get to see you get married. My biggest wish is for that happy day 10/22/2022 to be as magical as it is in my dreams. Did you eat midnight pancakes in your wedding dress??? How's Roscoe?? And Turbo?? He will out live us all. I hope Steven is around still. I hope that the house on Calle Juno is your dream home. Did the housing market crash yet?? Did COVID get cured?? Do **** in schools still exist? Are there still Republican ********??? Ew. Gross. I hope not. I dream of gray hair, Coastal grandma vibes for my future. A classroom of my own. In charge of my own thermostat. In charge of my own --- theater??!??!! What was the first play you directed?? How's Gary Krinke??? Did that **** Lauren Howard ever get hers? You have been hurt and hurt again. I hope you have healed nicely. Whatever scars are barely visible. You are beautiful. Funny. Smart. Professional. This life is yours for the taking. Go get that tattoo of the sunflower or the duck with the mickey ears or the whatever the hell you want. Go perform again. Be onstage, you coward. JK ily. Teach the kids everything you know.
