A letter from May 25th, 2022

Dear FutureMe, You are 40 now and I hope you've spent it with wonderful people you love in a special place. Right now I'm only slightly freaked that I'm in my late 30's because I’ve been hurting immensely due to all the unstable things in life - relationships and jobs. I hope now you have achieved what you want - that professional gig, that amazing place to live and satisfying relationship(s). Whether it is working with Mel, or somewhere else that has a great team. Whether it is in Amster*** or Berlin or maybe somewhere else even more amazing. Whether it is the 2 consistent partners you have or others that fit your emotional needs more. Hope you have finally decided that you deserved to be happy and have been directly communicating your wants and desires. I can already see the changes. Keep it up, I believe in you! That desire to grow and change was always our strongest suit. No matter what you have done, know this past self of yours is proud of you. Love you always, Past me.
