A letter from Feb 28th, 2022

Dear FutureMe, hopefully, by now you have finished medical school and now you are either in the process of applying for residency or you were already matched!! at this moment in time, I am thinking about either getting in ob-gyn or peds! hopefully, I made my decision or maybe I chose something else. I am really apprehensive and scared, Russia attacked Ukraine and we have fears of going into ww3... hopefully that sorts out. I am hoping the world gets a better place but I'm scared it won't be. I am so scared as for the process of residency, I do not know where I can get accepted, probably my greatest fear is that I have to start studying from the very beginning again or something. I hope I get to wherever is meant to be and people need doctors, I really wish I could go to Canada but if by this time that's not a possibility it is okay. Hopefully, by this time Mehran still loves me and we are engaged (he promised before this time he would propose) I hope I have finally reached my body goals, I hope everything in Iran is good, I hope financially I am stable, I hope that by this time no one has died yet, especially Mahpary and daddy. I just got back from work, it was my first-day teaching at Ultra labs and I went to the OR for the first time today and say a thyroidectomy and nasal endoscopy, I don't know what the future holds but I hope everything is fine and the best happens. love, Hasti from the past
