A letter from Feb 13th, 2022

Dear FutureMe, I need to let off steam and I sincerely believe that you’re the only who can understand me. No one takes me seriously they say that now i took my choice and I have to think about the future but I’M NOT THE ONE WHO TOOK THE ******* CHOICE! It make me mad it's easy for them to give an unwanted opinion because they are not in my situation. I’m talking bout school, maybe it seems like nothing, but high school was the worst choice of my life. I always wanted to study languages or fashion but as you already know everyone told us to study classical letters and after we changed school because it was clear that we weren’t good at all that stuff they forced us to study scientific subjects such as math and physics only because we had to "maintain the standards". Tomorrow I have a math test and right now I'm crying like every night before a test, the main reasons why I’m writing to you is because I don't think I'm finishing high school.. not like that. Next year I will do an exchange year in US and as you know sometimes they give the exchange student the opportunity to graduate.. I thought I would do two years there instead of one, so as to be sure to receive the diploma and then return to Italy for the university. You don’t know what I would give to get an answer from you and know what will happen in the future, right now I feel really lost. I’m begging you don't pay attention to what others tell you about your choices, they’re yours, life is yours and only you know yourself and know what you need or want, so please don't let anyone or anything influence you anymore. Remember I love you anyway, yourself (but almost 16 years old).❤️
