Dear FutureMe,
Kevin, you're a bit older now. Hopefully wiser, and not too much more the worse for wear. I'm writing you at a turning point in your life. At the time of this writing, that is to say, not at the time of your reading this. I couldn't possibly know what you of all people would be doing in the future... You'll be well into the next decade of your life. I can only give you the best advice from this point of view. So here goes...
Keep what's really important in mind. Don't get too caught up in the rest. It's just not worth it. Spend time with your family, and loved ones. Time is something that you never get back. And take care of yourself. It's not the job, or the car, or the clothes. It's your health and happiness that you need to remember to take care of. Trust me, you won't forget about the rest.
That's it really. There's plenty more I could say. But I really think I've covered what matters. It's been good talking to you.
Best wishes,
-K
P.S. Don't sweat it too much if you still haven't been able to stick to all those New Year's resolutions. Just keep trying. ;-)
