A letter from Sep 17th, 2021

Dear future me, hi. My name is Maya March and I’m 13 years old. My pronouns are her. The date right now is September 10th, 2021 and it’s the second day of high school. On my first day, I was really nervous for a couple of reasons. Number 1, I had no idea what I was gonna wear. I picked my outfit out in the morning which I usually don’t do, yes it was a little stressful. Number 2, I was terrified of getting lost and not being able to find my classes. But overall, the first day was actually really fun. I’m playing in Durham Hockey and I just made the BB team. I'm playing with most of my friends which is fun and I’m excited to see what happens this year. I’m thinking of quitting hockey or just going to Whitby house league hockey but I don’t know yet… In the future, I hope I get good grades, a good job and get into a university that I like. My closest friends right now are Kaitlyn, Sasha, Layla and Bronwyn. I usually sit with them for lunch and talk to them daily. For school, I think I’m doing good, I’m finding all my classes easily, made new friends, and I like both of my teachers, Ms. Brunshaw Art and Mrs.Gilbride English. I hope that my life is good in four years and I have a job, making money, graduate and more friends!! From, Maya March in 2021
