Dear Future Me,
July 23, 2021
Today is the last day of orientation, where I signed up for classes and greeted my orientation peers and NSA goodbye. By then, I hope you have succeeded in making connections and friends, as well as have enjoyed the food that UCLA provides.
More importantly, I hope you have already applied to medical schools with the best stats possible. If not, then that is okay. I told everyone in my salutatorian speech that you will succeed no matter where you're going or where you are at the moment.
You are capable of everything. Remember the day you got accepted into UCLA and looking at the acceptance letter after swim practice? That was around the time COVID-19 took place. And you pushed through it and got accepted into your dream school!
Be sure to remember where you came from. Thank your family and love them, even if your relationship with them is poor. Right now, mom is mad at me for spending money on Olivia for replica Nike Dunks.
Good luck,
Jonah as a 17 year old
