Dear 2025 Sai,
As I’m writing this letter, I am sitting in my first period of the last day of senior year, Human Bio. I’m writing this letter on my iPhone 11, wearing my flash socks and shirt. I’m meeting all of my new(senior year) teachers for the first time. You may almost have forgotten, but COVID wiped out everything from March of junior year all the way until now. The vaccines started being administered in February, and by the end of summer I’m hoping we’re back to normal. How we got through this year with only 3 Bs remains a mystery to me. Shoulda been two, but our Spanish teacher refuses to round up from an 89.73%. Whatever, I truly don’t care. If she wants to be like that, let her. We’ve already made it. I even bombed our AP Lit test out of pure indifference, 3 hours of essays? Couldn’t be bothered. A week ago, I got a letter from our 8th grade self, and I think I’d have made him proud with everything I’ve done except getting that prom date. I’m hoping you’ll be strong enough to do what I couldn’t and get us a date or two, maybe even a girlfriend. Our 8th grade self also said to get into a good school, which I feel I did. I hope Purdue is everything we’ve worked for and more. Now, for my what I hope you’ve accomplished:
1. Get some good internships, work hard
2. Find a genuine friend group
3. Work towards that stable job at one of our dream companies (Blizzard, Apple, Amazon, etc.)
That’s about it. I hope we’ll have cherished these 4 amazing years of college, and explored our freedom to the fullest.
Sincerely,
2021 Sai
