A letter from May 11th, 2021

Dear FutureMe, You are amazing. I know that you tell yourself all the time that you are not talented, but that is not true. You are an incredible child with many talents that you use to bless other's lives. You are gorgeous and so kind-hearted. You always want to help everyone and that is a great characteristic to have. You are always so happy and have a beautiful smile that lights up the room and a laugh that can heal a soul. You are so funny and smart, and when you put your mind to it you can accomplish so many great things. I'm writing to you from 2021. I know that this year and last year were really rough on you, but you were always so positive about it. No one would have ever guessed that you were constantly in pain, physically and emotionally, or that you lost one of your best friends. You never told anyone how much you were suffering, or that you were being teased and made fun of at school and you kept your head up high. Even though you were in constant agony, you supported others through their trials. You were the light in people's darkness and were the best friend and supporter anyone could have ever asked for. You are always so loving and supportive of everyone, no matter who. You were so helpful to people and were always serving others, and that did not go unnoticed. By the time you receive this, you will be about to graduate high school! This email might come a little bit early because I don't know the exact date of the last day because it isn't for another 4 years, but this should be close enough. This year along with last year has been a crazy year full of challenges, but you got through it. I hope high school goes better than junior high did. I'm so excited to finally be going to high school, but at the same time, I'm crazy scared. High schools big and scary but also so exciting and full of opportunities and you have so many people who love and support you. If I know you, and I do because I am you, then you are probably crying as you read this. You probably don't believe some of the amazing things I'm saying about you are true, but I promise you that they are. I'm not saying your perfect because I know you have your moments, but so does everyone else. Nobody is perfect, it is a part of being human. But I am saying that you are the best me I could have ever asked for. I love you and think that you are perfect the way you are. Your not perfect, but you are about as close to it as you can be. Keep trying your best and don't ever let anyone tell you that you are not good enough, especially yourself, because I know that you tell yourself that all the time but it is so not true. Keep on your head up high and never doubt yourself. And remember if anyone ever tells you you aren't good enough, it is because they are jealous and they are so wrong. Good luck in high school.
