Dear FutureMe,
Isn’t it crazy that you’re sixteen years old when you read this? Ever since the age of nine, we’ve been fantasising about being sixteen and it’s actually reality now!
So you’re receiving this about a week after you started Year 12. Hopefully at the school you really wanted to go to!!
The process has started now and I just had my assessments today - but, god**** who the **** thought it was a good idea for a teenaged girl to sit at a laptop for 4 ******* hours straight?!
I wish I was joking but it was the most tedious 4 hours of my life with barely 10 minutes’ break.
But anyway, yes, the process has started. And get this! I’ll find out if I get an offer in 3 weeks! My future is quite literally being determined in 3 god**** weeks.
I truly hope I make it in though. Not sure what I’ll do if I don’t.
If that’s not the case, so be it. It’s God’s Plan, innit? (Wise words, bro despite you being a hardcore atheist!)
I honestly wish you all the best because you ******* deserve it more than anyone. Don’t make your “oh god why was I so cringe” face! You’ve managed to power yourself through countless mental battles.
They were ******* terrible, weren’t they? For instance, summer 2020 was, oh Jesus Christ, a rollercoaster of emotions.
For you now, I don’t want you to experience anything like that again. Leave the horrible intrusive thoughts in your early teenage years and focus on making the absolute best of your later teenage years.
Oh plus, I know your skin has been your biggest insecurity and I just... well done for not unaliving yourself because I know it’s the biggest factor in your self-esteem.
Please don’t focus on it. You’re PRETTY! Especially with eyeliner, hehe :)
Oh, I hope you dyed your hair or got a new piercing. Bet you look AMAZING.
And, and, express your self! Through your clothes, jewellery, bedroom, etc. Don’t be afraid to stand out because we wanna be unforgettable, don’t we!
So even though you’re not at MHS - do what the hell you want.
Do drugs, drink alcohol, party, smoke, have a relationship - just have fun! Who cares about the consequences you may receive; you’ve been the ‘good child’ for 15 years after all.
You deserve it after everything you’ve been through <3
Things are really hard for your past self right now regarding to school. It’s so bloody stressful and I just wanna....perish. And my skin is bloody atrocious and my hair is beyond manageable, I’m feeling utterly awful about myself.
But it’s the prospect of turning sixteen and starting a new chapter in my life that keeps me going now.
Your fifteen-year-old self doesn’t want you to dwell on your secondary school days; that’s in the past and she would much rather hear about your reformed life!
In conclusion: live your ******* life at wherever you may be now.
(P.S: be truthful about your experiences, don’t lie. Remember these people don’t know you, so therefore it’s your chance to show who you really are.)
Good luck <3 xxxx
