A letter from December 2nd, 2020

Dear FutureMe, hey! It's me. I'm 15 as of now! How's the future? you just turned 20 years old... which is terrifying. to me. Did you go to college? what are you pursuing in education? I hope it's something good. How is your penpalling? did you ever get "famous"? And what about that youtube channel? I hope some of those plans worked out! Are you still in contact with Melody? Allegra? Apple? Those are pretty much your only friends as of now, but maybe (hopefully) you've found some new ones by the time you get this. When did the pandemic end? Or is it still going on.....? Who is the new president? Biden is currently president-elect (Yay!) But my fingers are crossed for someone at least a bit better by 2025. and you can vote now! That's crazy. I hope you've finally decided on all of your political stances and have read more .....theory. Have you been able to travel anywhere? I really really really want to visit the U.K., especially london soon. I've spent a lot of time talking in a british accent, and I can put it to use and see if people think I'm really british! how exciting! How many more times have you read Harry Potter? How's J.K. Rowling? I hope she's doing horribly. Do you have a boyfriend? (or maybe even a girlfriend? I have no idea what my ********* is, but I'm pretty sure I'm straight.) I hope by now you've had at least one relationship. It would kind of suck if you were 20 years old and had never even had your first kiss.... If you actually haven't by the time you get this, I apologize. That would be painful to read. Anyways, how are your parents? Adi? Yogi? If yogi is dead by the time you get this... that would be terrible. Mom would probably be devastated by the loss of his furry little paws. Is Adi still in high school? I don't want to do the calculations right now, but I'm pretty sure he'd be 18 right now. I wonder what he's doing. How did his skateboarding thing go? Are you still living/is your family still living at Boyce? What about Arizona? I'm so curious as to how we continued to deal with the pandemic. It sounds so crazy to think that we spent so much of our lives in "quarantine", and that there was such a horrible disease that america sucked at containing. like a pandemic just sounds like either something out of a movie or from hundreds of years ago. Did you ever get to reading any of those classics you picked up over thanksgiving break? I hope you at least finished Jane Eyre ;) I am currently in a friendship crisis, which will probably sound silly to you when you read this. In fact, this whole email will probably sound silly. You will probably be thinking of 15 year old you and be very embarrassed. I am currently not embarrassed, but I am sure that in 5 years everything I wore, did, and said will be extremely embarrassing to look back on. which sucks. In 5 more years (after you get this), you will probably look back and think of how embarrassing your 20 year old self was. Which is kind of weird to think about. Anyways, speaking of embarrassment, please take this time to go on your phone and look at pictures of yourself from 5 years ago. remember tiktok? yeah. and look at your polaroids! I wonder what the aesthetic/trends of 2025 will be....... I hope you have figured out your style and are not a homeless person. OH also, have you done anything ~illegal~ yet? As of 15 years of age, our parents still wont even let me touch a bottle of alcohol. and yeah. that's where I'm at. I dont really have an urge to go drinking or anything, but I am curious as to what its like. How's audrey? Text her right now for me. and tell her that a letter I wrote to myself is telling you to text her. and while your at it, text melody and allegra and apple! just ask them what's up and how they're doing. I bet melody is succeeding at whatever she is doing. WHY is she so good at everything???? I am slightly jealous. Well.... I think I've written a lot and I honestly have nothing more to say.
