A letter from July 28th, 2020

Dear Ma.Fer I don't know if people still call you that, but today July 28 of the year 2020, they do. Let me tell you what is going on in my life right now; I'm 13 years old, I live in Mexico (Pachuca Hidalgo) and I'm writing this letter in English because I hope you are living in the US or in another part of the world. Right now I hate our country, there are many wrong things, many ********* and horrible events take place every day. I wish i could go to the US in this exact moment, but I can't, I have family here, and mom`s work is here, but we do plan moving there sometime in the next years. Besides where we live, right now there is a pandemic caused by the Corona Virus, we need to stay home, we need to wear a mask and take care of our health...I have been in quarantine for 5 months now, it's horrible, I hope this is over soon. This year many things have happened. I had my first broken heart, his name was Walter, I think you remember. I started loving myself before others, and I'm changing myself in all the possibles ways. I wear contacts now, I changed my hair and I pierced my ear, but besides that, I'm changing my personality, I'm being more spiritual. I don't have many friends in these moments, my only friends are in Mexico City, but I'm really okay with it right now actually, I don't like the people of Pachuca, I have lived in 3 different states by now and this is the only one I dont really like. Mom is single now, has she found real love? I hope she has. My best friend name is Pablo del Olmo, are we still best friends? The love of my life is Harry Styles, he is the most amazing human being for me in these moments. My favorites movies are; Hunger Games, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Forest Gump, Harry Potter, Eat Pray Love, and much more. My favorites books are The Hunger Games too! I'm actually reading them right now. I LOVE music, I play the guitar, the ukulele, and piano, and I also sing. My dream is to have a band, be famous, and connect with people the way music connects with me, did we did it? my favorites singers/bands are The Beatles, One Direction, Harry Styles, Lewis Capaldi, Conan Gray, Vance joy, Fools Garden, Louis Armstrong, Coldplay, The turtles, and more. I like old music, not many people like the same music I do, I'm one of the good ones. How is the family doing? my grandma and grandpa are still alive and I love them deathly. My uncles are coming this weekend, Cris is to grown-up right now haha how is she? how is Naty? I miss her, I hope everything is okay with her, she is having a rough time right now. How is Flavio? I haven't seen him in a long time but I still think of him every day... How is mom? I hope she is happy, she deserves it. And now, How are you? Are you happy? I hope you are. I imagine myself in 5 years viviendo la vida loca! going to concerts, swimming with sharks, skydiving and more! I know you are something like that, I also know you are so spiritual and grateful! I use to write a kind of diary, what happened to them? What is the world in 2025? I hope there are aliens, I also hope many things have changed, and that we all have equality. I hope you live in a much different world, that you have freedom and respect, I hope you have a lot of love and that you are really happy... I hope you have found the way to connect with God, I have, but many things can change, I know many things will change and happen to you. Do you still love coffee? Do you have brothers or sisters? Have you met your dad? (I'm asking random questions) Remember to keep smiling and being you. You are not a sad story, you are alive and infinite, enjoy life and little moments. You are where you are supposed to be, and you are doing your propose, so relax. None feeling is final, and you can do anything you can, please be happy and laugh a lot, go to concerts and challenge yourself, always. Learn and read and also sing a lot Do what makes you happy, you're an adult now, your is happiness is in your hands and in the decisions you make :) Keep smiling M- 2020
