Dear FutureMe,
5 years ago, when the virus was still significant and I was still at university, I am writing this email.
A lot can change in that time, you could still be doing a PhD or perhaps a teacher or lecturer. Maybe you discovered our dream job? We are completely separate people now, whoever I am is essentially gone, but I’m still there somewhat.
I know 5 years ago I would have never known where I would be now, after my degree is finished, there is so much I could do. But never feel like you missed out, you still (hopefully) have some wind in your sails. Go and do some acting, go to France, make a ****** novel! What are you doing reading your emails!
I hope everything is going well! I’ll leave it there, I genuinely have nothing interesting to say, because you know everything I do plus more, maybe I should have done something like this when we were 12? Who knows?
If things aren’t as good as we might have wanted, then that’s that I suppose, prepare for the worst but expect the best.
Onwards and upwards!
Innit
