Time Travelled — almost 5 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, Hi!! So, it’s more than likely that you’ll have forgotten this email is coming but here it is. I’m currently in bed at 1:37am writing this on Friday July 24th 2020 and as you’re reading this it will be 2025,, WOW!! I’m currently 15 and about to turn 16 so as you’re reading this you’ll be 20, almost 21 which is a very scary thought. Now, I’m not entirely sure where you’ll be in your life right now but I know where I hope you are. I’m currently hoping and even attempting to manifest that you’ll be reading this from your second, nearly third year of medical school and if that’s the case then I am so so proud of you. I’m trying my best for us to get great GCSE grades, especially in science because a career in medicine is my goal at the minute and I hope it is for you too. I also can’t believe that as you’re reading this Harmony will almost be 11 and she’ll be starting high school in September, oh how time flies. Say hi to her from me! I have no idea what your life is like now, who you’re still friends with, whether mum still lives in England, whether Ruby still growls when she takes a sock (hopefully she grew out of that one haha), but whatever it’s like, make the most of it. As I’m writing this I’m currently on season 7 episode 2 of Grey’s Anatomy for the third time, I dread to think how many times you’ve watched it by the time you’re reading this ahaha. Oh well, it’s a great show and who’s stopping us hey? Anyways, have an amazing life and don’t let anyone stand in the way of what you want. In the words of Meredith Grey, “No matter how dark it gets, the sun’s gonna rise again”. And in the words of Cristina Yang, “Have some fire. Be unstoppable. Be a force of nature.”. Take that advice and roll with it. Love, Your Past-Self
