Time Travelled — almost 5 years

A letter from July 10th, 2020

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, How goes it? Past you, the one writing this, just turned 20. By the time you receive this, you will be a few days past 25. Half way through your twenties, through what you promised to be the best 10 years of your life. I hope you're not letting me down. Hopefully you graduated college. Have you gone to see the whales in Alaska? Free dived with the sharks? Did you move to LA like you always thought you would? Tell me you are at least out of the suburbs. Did you create something you were proud of? Have you fallen in love yet? Have you learned to love yourself yet? God. I hope you're happy. Honestly. I feel a little lost right now. I'm so scared that I'll be stuck in a never ending loop of going through the days with out any new experiences. I'm bored. I'm sad. And honestly, I'm a little lonely. Do you still feel so empty? As the days go by I'm finding it harder and harder to feel like I have a purpose. I'm making a promise to myself, right now, to find my purpose. But to also never settle. I want to live freely, I want to live with no regrets. I hope you followed through and stayed true to your word. If you haven't, if you still feel empty, purposeless, like you haven't lived your life to the fullest, here is your reminder. Buy that plane ticket, take that exciting job. Jump at every opportunity you can. Explore the world. Be kind, be happy, and most importantly be free. Live every moment like "My Tears Are Becoming A Sea" by M83 is playing in the background. Can't wait to see where life takes you, Yours truly.
