Time Travelled — almost 5 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, I am sitting on your bed in sahel, writing this letter to you, to read in 5 years from now. I feel anxious writing it tbh because I have no idea where I'll be in 5 years. But all I know is 6 years ago I was in Dubai having no idea where I would be in 5 years, and 5 years later I moved to Canada, met amazing friends, went to 2 internships in California. Moved to Pittsburgh then Cali. I hope you are reading this 5 years from now, if you are still alive. You should be hmmmm 30 years old. Omg that feels like such an old number now, I wonder if you have more grey hair and you are wrinkly. I hope you have your own business and you are crushing it as a leader. I hope you are living in the place that makes you happiest and where you are surrounded by the most amount of people you love. I hope you are married (to the person you love, who will take care of you and that helps you become better everyday) with kids and that you are working to raise them in the best way you can. I hope you have finished studying basic Arabic and that you are at least half way through memorizing the Quran. I hope that you are providing empowerment to people around you and that you are a true سفيرة to Islam and Muslims and a خليفة in this world. I hope you have mentees and people that you can share your experiences with. I hope you get to bring up your kids with both mama and baba around and that you have grown even closer to Nada, Nour and Mostafa. I hope all your friendships are deep and strong and you have not lost any of your close friends. I hope your relationship with God is getting stronger by the day and you are deliberate about learning more about him. I hope you are not fat haha and that you maintained your fitness and your workout routines. I hope you have traveled to more places in the world and have experienced more people, cultures and beautiful places to visit. I hope life has not made you any less excited or any less pumped about doing your part while you are here. I hope you still have a strong head over your shoulder and that you could see the silver linings in all that's happening around you. I hope you are still you.
