A letter from July 8th, 2020

Dear FutureMe, Remember that Josh is the one you’ve sworn yourself to. Remember that he’s your world. The thing that makes life so bright for you. DONT LOSE THAT. Because if you do, your life will go back to that time. That time where all you did was follow a routine, there wasn’t any color or variety at all. Everything was dull. But with him... with him, you’ll always be his number one. Nothing will change that in his eyes and you know this. Please don’t let him go. Your heart already made plans with him in the future that are so beautiful. Life with him by your side will be bliss. If you let him leave, no one else can make you feel the way he did ever. Remember that your mom and dad will always be there for you. Never forget that they will do whatever it is to make you happy, and if they can’t then know that they are extremely sad because of it. Know that their hearts will always have a space for you, and it’s the biggest piece that they have. They raised you to be a good girl, to some day live life comfortably. If anything happens to them, always be grateful for what they’ve given you (but I doubt anything’s gonna happen, they’ll be there for when you walk down that aisle and they’ll be there to meet they’re grandbabies. Just like your sisters and brother). FutureMe, love them as much as you can. You never know what life has planned for you or anyone around you. Keep track of your friends. Aidan and Alyssa will be there for you through thick and thin. They know you, understand you. Try to keep in touch. I’m sure they’d like to have a chat every once in a while :) And for yourself. Keep being positive. Strive to see the good in the world. Have fun, live in the moment but cherish special memories and hold them close to your heart. Always keep yourself mentally and physically healthy. Stay happy with what you have, and if you can, strive for more. Push yourself to do the things you’ve always wanted to do, like helping your parents with the rent or hell even take up modeling on the side because you are beautiful. Push yourself to be the Mariella you dream of being because you’re so close to being her. Push yourself to fight for the life you want, the life that gives you and your family the luxury that they deserve for all the love they’ve given you. Push yourself to appreciate your friends for staying. Because life never stops. And neither will you. Sincerely, Me at 16
