A letter from July 6th, 2020

Dear FutureMe, I hope you’re taking care of yourself . How are you? Either way I’m proud of you, you’ve lived for 18 years now (that might be wrong date tho) You’ll probably have loads of regrets and overthink all the time , cause you do rn. This is your letter to say that you can slow down, don’t stop, but take it as slow as you want. You only have one life so treat it well and check up on yourself if you need a break take it. I really hope you’re still friends with the people u hang out wth rn and I hope you found a way to get rid of that toxic “best friend”. I want you to stop caring about what others think though, you’re always scared that you’ve said something wrong or people woth judge you’re clothes. But you know what, **** them. It might sound selfish putting yourself first but it’ll pay off trust me I mean, it’s your life. Wear what you want, go where you want, date who you want. Live with no boundaries. In the end no one cares, they’re too self involved to worry bout their own problems u don’t need that stress in ur life. If they’re not worth it...Let. Them. Go. I hope you didn’t give up and you’re still working hard on everything you care bout rn. Drama, art, traveling, fashion etc. I hope you finally did go on that trip you worked and saved up on, I’m still waiting for it. Idk if anything traumatic has happened but remember to be grateful for everything in ur life even if it’s small rn. Things will get better. I hope ur more confident at what you do and spend less time on social media wishing for the perfect life, if you want something then just take it there’s no point dreaming if it’s in ur reach and I know it is. You have sooo much potential and I’m sure you know it. My advice: live for yourself, Do a self-detox of ur life, listen to ur parents, pay attention to red flags, smile at stranger n be we,coming, keep being you, learn more bout things you don’t accept or r scared of, don’t waste time worrying bout gossip, focus on the now but work for the future, just know it all works out in the end Kay ily ❤️😌
