A letter from July 6th, 2020

Dear FutureMe, 2020 has been crazy so far and only half the year has just gone by. Today is 7th July 2020. 1) Hong Kong is a mess with the protests on going; gas, Molotov cocktails, etc 2) Bush fires have been larger than usual in Australia 3) COVID-19 has spread globally and the global count today sits at: Coronavirus Cases: 11,543,532 Deaths: 536,344 Recovered: 6,526,707 4) Trump is making a mess of the current situation in USA and is being impeached and acquitted 5) Kanye West wants to be the next president of USA (currently backed by Kim and Elon) 6) Another flu strand tied to the H1N1 has begun to spread in China 7) Global recession is here once again 8) Petrol has dropped an all time low; +98 at it's lowest cost close to AUD 1.00 per litre 9) Elon Musk named their baby "X Æ A-Xii" 10) Victoria,Melbourne is going through a second wave of COVID-19 11) Online learning for all schools and working from home is a new norm 12) 5G towers were being torn down/burnt due to conspiracy theorists thinking that it caused the COVID-19 13) "Black Lives Matter" protests are going global 14) Countries have closed it's borders to protect itself from COVID-19 spread. Travel is a no go unless essential. 15) All main sporting events have been postponed or cancelled. No Olympics 2020 16) Nope, there are still no flying cars or hoverboards 17) Panic buying hits the supermarkets when the announcement of lockdown begun. Stuff gone off the shelves: Toilet paper, pasta, pasta sauce, tissue paper, paper towels, eggs, meat, fresh produce, canned food, flour, sugar, long life milk, rice 18) Many businesses have since closed down but some have thrived 19) Social distancing, washing your hands regularly, sanitising your hands is a thing To everyone, take care. If you survive this year, let's hope the second half isn't as bad. There is a whole lot more going on in the world today, be it global or personal.
