Dear FutureMe,
hey, this is my monthly "reflection blog post" -esque thing in quarantine. today i was supposed to go to work in the afternoon but it was thundering so thank god i didnt have to go, bc i really wasnt feeling it lol (even though "work" is barely work).
dad showed me how to use/read the bp cuff for a head start for my emt class, and showed me this compact automatic/electronic bp cuff he got when he was in japan, and then pulled out a bunch of other things he collected during his time there, like the phone calling punch cards (which i had no idea existed or how to use), all the random cash/ "credit" cards he signed up for for the free perks, and some mini tv that was really small and i thought was a box that connected to a tv screen or display but it really was the size of the square kleenex boxes, wish it still worked bc that wouldve been cool to see. started crying at some point, which i guess actually happens fairly often whenever i get reminded of it. truly sucks because its hard to fully enjoy a genuine moment with him telling me stories and showing me things he enjoyed collecting/using because then i/you remember the reality that cancer exists.
i'd like to make some wall art with the punch cards or something to put them up though.
hope you're doing well!
love,
:)
