A letter from June 15th, 2020

Dear FutureMe, it feels like it’s been half a decade since I‘ve written this.. Cheesy entrance I know but you’re 17 so who cares? When you open this you will be 22 which is insane to think about but I bet you’ve established yourself quite well. I wonder if old me still remembers the dumb things present me worried about such as friends, THE FUTURE so like the usual kind of stuff. I do hope that you managed to be true to yourself and that you’re in a happier place now 'cause to be honest, 2020 wasn’t your year at all. You’ve lost a lot of friends, there’s a Pandemic going on but more importantly you’ve lost yourself and I know how bad you felt so I’m genuinely rooting for FutureMe cause PresentMe could be doing a whole lot better. But since there’s the slight possibility that you’re not doing so well right now and you’re still on the path of becoming better remember this: „There’s a long long way to Ba Sing Se, but the girls in the City they look so pretty.“ I hope we‘re in Ba Sing Se now.
