hey,
You turned 16 today, and you are 21 today. So happy birthday I’m really proud of you. Honestly, the tenses of this are very confusing so just go with it. Also please don’t cry, I know that’s not going to change anything, but if life did not turn out as great as I hope it does now please please don’t cry. It’s okay.
I’m really scared about the future years of school, it’s gonna be really hard, and I want to go to a good college. There is a lot of pressure to do well, and I don’t want to fail. Right now I want to go to school for architecture, does that change? I guess I have a lot of questions, do you even get into college? How much debt are you in?
Beyond school, I hope you are stronger. Please don’t let too many people break your heart. Did you leave your family? Did you find a new one? Are they making you go out tonight (probably) I hope you stay safe.
I have more questions than answers, but I hope that you grow up and move on toward better things. I hope you are not addicted to anything and are generally healthy. I hope that the stains from dad get washed out. I hope you are closer to figuring out the person you are.
Anna, Hailey, and Sage came by to drop off gifts, because of the whole quarantine thing. Which is very scary, and so many people are dying. Not only is the coronavirus a thing, but the black lives matter movement is really moving. Every state is protesting, and I hope that when you are older you can actually attend the protests. And god I hope that great things come out of the movement and America starts moving in the right direction.
It’s very frustrating that I can’t have all of these answers now, but of course that’s just not how it goes. Anyways, no matter what happens and how hard it gets, I want you to know how much your younger self is cheering for you. Because I will always be here for you and please just remember how hard you wanted to fight and grow. And if that has not happened yet then this is just a fun reminder.
-I will always love you, you
