A letter from June 5th, 2020

Dear FutureMe, How are we feeling? Are we still depressed? Did we graduate? Did quarantine and social distancing end? What are we doing? Did mom and dad ever get back together? Is Larry still around? Who of your friends do you still talk to? Does it get better? Does it ever stop hurting? Are we famous yet? Boyfriend? Girlfriend? Are we alive? What major did you end up doing? Are we happy? Did we lose weight? Do you still like weed? Are you a drinker now? Was there a change after all the protesting and the rioting? Who ended up being president? I know I won’t get to answer these questions until the time comes but these are things I want you to think about when the time does come. There are answers I want to have for these questions but we both know that the future is never certain for us. I hope Aaron and our New York friends are still in your life, they were always the realest. I’m dating Asaru now, who is he to you today? Did we ever actually end up breaking up with him before college? Or are we on an on and off relationship like I’m expecting. I hope you still stay the same confrontational and confident person you are or like to think you are. I hope you still stand up for yourself, others, and for what’s right. Today I hung out with Ariana and Noeny, remember them? Maybe not but hopefully you do. I hope we’re a better version of me. I hope we’re a better person. Do everything you want girl. All I know is that I want to be everything all at once so choosing a major right now is not exactly the easiest thing in the world. However I have potential that we at least brought it down to two things. I also hope we’re not pregnant. If we are, how’s Kane or whatever name we came up with? Anyway I hope you lived your life like you wanted to. I have absolutely no idea where you could be right now but I hope it is somewhere you wanted to be. Also here’s a list of people that are important to me now in case you forget them in the future: Aaron Frias, Asaru Napier, Luis Cazorla, Carlos Calderon, Maria Leyba, Maria Arsenie, Courtney Tomazeski, Ariana Kravitz, Mayely Munoz, Michael Gonzalez and Ladjack, Karen Severino, Sarah Cortinas, Dwayne Brown, The wrestling group of 2018 and 19, Ioannis Petrakis, Isaiah Shell, Fayed, Rashawn Burell, Chino Ramirez, Dino Axhaj, Tony and probably others but oh well.
