Dear future me,
Hey. It’s me again. 6/2/2020. This one’s not for Mrs. S********n, this one's private. I broke up with K**e(or she broke up with me) around a month or two ago. I’m fine, she’s happy with M**y(I think), but I still feel lonely. Most of my teachers have told me that they couldn’t have made it through this semester of online learning without me, that my cheery enthusiasm is infectious and that I really helped them. But still I feel alone. My friends, ***redacted, redacted, redacted***, they’re great. We play till near midnight almost every night, and that's amazing. In terms of girls, did you ever get anywhere with C*****e? She’s nice, and sometimes I think she likes me, but I can’t be sure. What about the history class girls? They seem to like me too. E**a L******k, I thought she hated me for taking her *MUN topic, but she asked me to play her a song on my guitar the other day. We were alone on a zoom call for half an hour. Idk, I think I like her. I really can’t tell anymore. I don’t know if you remember, but I didn’t fall for K**e until after she asked me out twice. Twice. Crazy right? To like someone so much you keep going at them after you’re rejected twice? But, as the Japanese say, “koi no yokan.” “Love at second sight.” After all that I did love her. If she worked so hard to get me to date her, why would she leave me after 4 months? You’ll probably get this letter at the same time as the other one, the political one for Mrs. S********n. I’ll send them both 5 years into the future. Who knows, you may have changed emails again and this will just appear on the front page of FutureMe and nowhere else. I would ask you if you ever found love again, but I know you will have. You’re not unattractive, and you fall in love easily. How come then the only time I didn’t fall in love at first was the only time my relationships ever went anywhere. I give you this advice. You’ll never know from what direction love comes from. Oh also, write another one of these. I think future future you would like it.
Sincerely,
6/2/2020
P.S. Get back in touch with Mr. J****s, he’s awesome.
