A letter from June 2nd, 2020

Dear FutureMe, Things are pretty crazy right now around here. After George Floyd was ******** the internet has been pretty wild, 7/10 tiktoks i see are about blm. Honestly, I wish I could also take part in this, but in my country things are really quiet, probably because there are not enough black people for the cops to mistreat. Does that make sense? I don't know. I am trying to sign as many petitions as I can too help, but that is all I can do. I hope that in the future things are going to get better. Are they better? I feel a bit proud of myself for starting to recognize (recognise?) my privilege, not only as white but also as middle class - upper middle class. I hope I can become a person I am proud of. Are you proud of yourself? I got class right now and not many interesting things are happening. Yesterday I met up with the whole gang again after a few months. It was fun, but I am a little worried to be honest, cuz I feel like we are going to drift apart. Ah, well, I guess there is not much you can do, right? Only time will tell. For now, I am going to try not to get bored to *****, and maybe learn some asl who knows. I also broke things off with Luca, apparently he doesn't care as much as he says he does. Chef was surprisingly nice when he found out about the situation. He tried to comfort me, which made me pretty happy because he is actually trying now. I kind of miss him to be honest, but it's alright cuz we'll be seeing eachother during winter camp. So yeah, ttyl byyyeee! Almost 10th grade you
